Early summer mornings often started with my bare feet balancing over the warm rocks that lined my Grandma's massive gardens. Growing up next door meant that it was a daily occurrence.
Sometimes I helped weed. Other times I watched. She would show me how much a cucumber or lily had grown and teach me how to recognize things before they had fruits or flowers.
By mid-summer, she'd have a picnic table covered with fruits and veggies to share. By summer's end, my Uncle's farmed sweet corn would be ready, and he'd set us up (my cousins and me) to sell by the dozen on that same picnic table.
Those summer days unknowingly taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and patience from watching their hard work unfold.
What they say is true; it tastes better when grown from love.
As we work to pass those values on to our children, our Garden collection embodies how when you put all your heart into something, it comes back to you ten-fold, or as my grandma liked to say, by the bushel.
