Katie’s childhood was filled with skinned knees, mosquito bites, plaid uniform skirts, penny loafers and an extremely large family of opposites. It is those stark contrasts in which she derives much of her inspiration. Her first endeavor as an entrepreneur was spending summers selling her Uncle’s sweet corn instead of lemonade. Prior to co-founding June & December, she worked as an art director creating TV & print ads for a large Detroit ad agency. Katie spends her free time collecting moments and small treasures from nature, experimenting with different mediums, snail hunting quests with her children and getting lost in a really good book.
