Following our tour of The Flower House Detroit, we packed up and headed across the bridge for a fall adventure before the holiday season rush. We were treated with a wide range of colors and seasons as we made our way “up north”. From the greens in the lower “Mitten” to the vibrant oranges, yellows and reds in Northern Michigan and the U.P., each mile was spectacular, even the ones where we experienced our first snowfall of the season!
We only had a few days, but enjoyed our hikes to upper and lower Tahquamenon Falls, Wagner Falls, Miners Falls, Alger Falls, and Munising Falls as well as a stop at the infamous Pictured Rocks. Each hike was a great reminder why we’re so excited about our new fall + holiday collection. Seeing and smelling the white cedars, hiking around the towering hemlocks and stopping in awe of the colorful sugar maple and oak leaves...not only did it re-energize us, it brought so much inspiration for our new designs in the works!
Our trip of course wasn’t complete without filling up on pasties at the Bear Trap, roasting marshmallows while telling ghost stories, and enjoying the milky way before making the trip back under the bridge to resume life as trolls. If you haven’t seen the fall colors of Northern Michigan, we suggest adding it to your bucket list! Please enjoy a few of our photos below.
